Published Posts
Published posts are content already posted to social media. Firstage lets you track performance and manage published posts as needed.
Role of Published Posts
Published posts provide the following information:

Viewing Published Posts
Step 1: Open Published Posts Page
Click “Contents > Published Posts” menu in your Firstage dashboard.
Tip: Published posts are automatically sorted by newest first.
Step 2: Select View Mode
View published posts in various ways:
Calendar View
- Visualize publishing schedule by month/week calendar
 - Click dates to see posts published that day
 - Drag-and-drop to change post scheduling (scheduled posts only)
 
When to use?
- View publishing schedule at a glance
 - Find posts published on specific dates
 - Plan publishing schedules
 
Kanban View
- Organize posts by status columns (e.g., Scheduled, Published, Failed)
 - View post cards in each column
 - Drag-and-drop between statuses to change state (when supported)
 
When to use?
- Track post publishing progress
 - Quickly find failed posts
 - View post count by status at a glance
 
List View
- List all posts in table format
 - View title, publish date, channel, performance metrics at a glance
 - Sort by column headers (publish date, performance, etc.)
 
When to use?
- Compare specific data (performance metrics)
 - Filter posts by specific channel
 - Sort posts by performance
 
Step 3: Filter and Search Posts
Filter post list by various criteria:
- Channel Filter: View only specific connected channels (Threads, Instagram, etc.)
 - Status Filter: View only scheduled, published, failed, etc.
 - Date Range Filter: View posts from specific date range
 - Search: Search by post title or content
 
Tip: Combine filters to find desired posts faster.
Step 4: View Individual Post Details
Click a post to open the details panel:
- Post Content: View original content
 - Publishing Info: Publish date, time, channel
 - Performance Metrics:
- ❤️ Likes/Reactions
 - 💬 Comments
 - 🔄 Shares
 - 👁️ Views (depending on channel)
 
 - Channel Links: Direct links to posts on social media
 
Understanding Post Status
Published posts have the following statuses:

| Failed | Error occurred during publishing | Retry, delete, check cause |

Note: Some statuses may be restricted depending on social media API limitations.
Managing Published Posts
Editing Posts
Edit availability varies by post status:
Before Publishing (Scheduled Status)
- Click post to open details panel
 - Click “Edit” button
 - Modify as needed
 - Click “Save” button
 
After Publishing (Published Status)
- Most social media platforms restrict post-publish editing
 - Editable in Firstage records, but actual social media posts remain unchanged
 - Recommend republishing as a new post if edits are needed
 
Deleting Posts
When you no longer want to keep a post:
- Click post to open details panel
 - Click ”…” menu in top right
 - Select “Delete” option
 - Confirm deletion
 
Important: Deleting posts in Firstage does not delete the actual social media posts. Delete directly on social media if needed.
Republishing Posts
Republish posts with good performance:
- Click post to republish
 - Click “Republish” button
 - Set new publishing time (optional)
 - Click “Publish” button
 
Tip: Schedule at different times to reach more viewers.

- Positive response to post

Navigate via Post Link
Click “View on Social Media” link in published post details panel to navigate to the actual social media platform.
Here you can:
- Check and respond to real-time comments
 - View exact performance metrics
 - Engage with user comments
 
Tip: Quick responses to comments and reactions on social media increase user engagement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What should I do when publishing fails?
A: Check the following:
- Verify connected account is still valid (token may have expired)
 - Ensure post content complies with each channel’s policies
 - Confirm account has publishing permissions
 - Retry post or contact Firstage support
 
Q: Can I change the time of scheduled posts?
A: Yes. Set a new publishing time when editing the post.
Q: Do performance metrics update in real-time?
A: No, performance metrics update at regular intervals (usually 1 hour). Check each social media platform directly for accurate real-time data.
Q: I edited a published post but changes aren’t reflected on social media.
A: This is expected behavior. Edits in Firstage don’t affect already published posts. Edit directly on social media if needed, or publish corrections as a new post.
Q: Can I compare performance across channels when publishing to multiple channels simultaneously?
A: Yes, filter by channel in list view to compare performance metrics.

Optimize Publishing Time
Best publishing times by connected channel:
- Instagram: Weekdays 11 AM, evenings 7-9 PM
 - Threads: Weekdays 10 AM, evenings 6-8 PM
 
Tip: Identify when your target audience is active and publish accordingly.
Content Optimization
- Image Size: Use recommended sizes for each channel
 - Text Length: Adjust length to match channel characteristics
 - Hashtags: Use relevant, trending hashtags
